After lunch we take you to the local market to buy vegetables and herbs and you will learn how to cook Thai food. You will prepare the food yourself and you can try your food during dinner. After that your tour ends.

Day 3 and 4 Jungle Trek 2 days with overnight in a hilltribe village
(Meals included: Breakfast x 2, Lunch x 2, Dinner x 1)

Day 3
We drive to Mae Wang. Here we visit the local market and then go to a Shan village where we have lunch. Next we walk to a Karen village.. During a trek there are seldom or never flat parts in the route. One of our guides always says "same same Holland" when asked about the route of that day but he has never been to the Netherlands. The trails that we hike on are used by local people. Sometimes the path is overgrown and the guide with his knife must work. We walk through close woods, open patches, plantations of mountain people and sometimes along or through rivers. If you want, you can hire a porter to carry your luggage. At the end of the afternoon you will arrive in the mountain village. We recommend not to wait until sunset to prepare your sleeping area, many villages do not yet have electricity. The guide will focus on preparing the meal. You will be amazed at the tasty meals in these primitive conditions. It's nice to walk in and get in touch with the people. After dinner everyone is at the host family and hands and feet are used for the most beautiful conversations. If weather permits we can sometimes make a campfire. Maybe there's someone who has a guitar. The people in the villages sleep very early because they want to make the most of the daylight. They get up very early. We stay in one of the houses of the Karen tribe, these people have come to Thailand from Burma

Day 4
Your night's rest will be a lot less than you are used to because of the primitive way of sleeping and all kinds of sounds of the village around you like crowing cocks and roaring pigs. However, an experience to never forget. We continue on our way to the meeting point where our car will pick us up to bring us to the starting point of the raft trip. We will spend about 1 hour on the river. After lunch we go back to Chiang Mai where we arrive in the afternoon.
We organize this trek ourselves so you are flexible, this is ideal when you travel with kids

Arrive at the Karen village and meet your guide. Meet the elephants, feed, interact, and play with the elephants in their natural home as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants and enjoy a lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh fruit. Take a mud spa with the elephants and walk with them to the beautiful waterfall. Bathe and brush the elephants and swim in the waterfall. After that we say good bye to the elephants and return to Chiang Mai.

Zipline Eco adventure. Whipping fast through the air on ziplines, with the jungle on both sides as you fly by, you will leave the busy world behind and immerse yourself deep in the jungle. Around the zipline course are platforms suspended high up in the trees, with the spectacular jungle view surrounding you and paddy fields along the MaeRam river far below. These are the take off point and landing zone for many of our ziplines. For some other platforms there are bridges and steps that are used to traverse between platforms. Our “Kung Fu Steps” are our homage to martial artist Bruce Lee, where you can step, or almost hop, from one step to the next until you reach the next platform at the other side. As with all activities with Eagle Track, safety is the number one priority, so for our bridges you will be hooked into a safety cable that runs above you. That way you can have fun without worrying about falling down. From one platform you have choice whether to descend using a spiral staircase or to take the faster route and abseil down instead! The abseiling is performed while you are hooked into a safety cable with the rate of descent carefully controlled by our staff. Our “Zig-zag walkway” is a unique invention made of wooden planks that zig zag across to gradually make their way to the next platform
